Auto Refresh Ultra is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension is designed to operate entirely locally on your device without collecting, transmitting, or storing any personal data on external servers.

Data Collection

Auto Refresh Ultra does NOT collect:

  • Personally identifiable information
  • Browsing history or visited URLs
  • Form data or page content
  • Authentication information
  • Location data
  • User activity or analytics

Data Storage

All extension settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage APIs (chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.sync). This data includes:

  • Your refresh interval preferences
  • Toggle settings (hard refresh, overlay, etc.)
  • License information (Pro users only)
  • Usage statistics (refresh counts)

This data never leaves your browser unless you enable Chrome Sync, in which case it syncs through Google's servers according to their privacy policy.

Pro License Verification

For Pro users, the extension communicates with our server only to verify license validity. This communication includes:

  • License key (provided by you at activation)
  • Email address associated with purchase

No browsing data or personal information is transmitted during license verification.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

  • activeTab: Required to refresh the current tab
  • alarms: Required for scheduling refresh intervals
  • storage: Required to save your preferences
  • tabs: Required to manage tab refresh states
  • host_permissions (all URLs): Required to inject the timer overlay on any webpage

Third-Party Services

The extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Pro license payments are processed by Stripe, which has its own privacy policy.
