Short version: Your JSON never leaves your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit the content of the data you process with this extension.

1. What we do not collect

The JSON content you paste, load, format, validate, query, or diff. Every operation runs 100% locally in your browser.
The contents of any tab you visit. The activeTab permission is used only when you explicitly press the "Load from tab" button.
Personal information beyond what you voluntarily submit (e.g. your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter).
Browsing history, cookies, or any tracking data outside the extension popup itself.

2. What we do collect

A randomly generated device ID stored in your browser's chrome.storage.local. This ID is sent only to peakproductivity.online for license verification (Pro users) and anonymous funnel events (counts of installs / first-format / paywall hits , never content).
Your license key + email address if you purchase Pro. This is stored only on our license server (peakproductivity.online/api) and Stripe.
Your email address if you opt in to our newsletter. This goes to our SendSimple list (sendsimple.site) and you can unsubscribe at any time.

3. Permissions justification

storage: saves your settings, history of formatted payloads, and cached license verdict locally in your browser.
activeTab: reads the JSON content of the current tab when you click the "Load from tab" button. Granted ad-hoc per click; never persists; never runs in the background.
scripting: backs the "Load from tab" button via a one-shot reader function.
downloads: saves the formatted output as a .json file when you click the Download button.
host_permissions: peakproductivity.online : single CORS-safe origin for license verify, license activation, and growth events. No <all_urls>, no wildcards.

4. Third-party services

Stripe: payment processing for Pro upgrades. Stripe receives your email and payment details directly; we never see your card.
SendSimple: email list provider for our optional newsletter. Hosted on our own infrastructure.
Google (Chrome Web Store): distributes the extension. We do not see who downloaded it, only aggregate install counts.

No third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Segment, etc.) are loaded by the extension.

5. Data deletion

To delete all locally stored data, open Chrome → Extensions → JSON Formatter Pro → Site settings → Clear data. Or simply uninstall the extension.

To delete your license + email from our license server, email support@peakproductivity.online.
