Designed around activeTab and local analysis.

Shopify Store Inspector scans only the page you choose after you click the extension icon.

Last updated: May 23, 2026.

What the extension analyzes

The extension analyzes public page data from the active browser tab after you click the extension icon. It looks for Shopify platform markers, exposed theme information, visible script and app signatures, tracking pixels, public product feed data when available, and related technical signals.

What stays local

Store scan results, saved competitor snapshots, settings, quota counters, and cached license status are stored in Chrome local storage. Store reports are not uploaded to our server for analysis.

What may contact our server

The extension contacts peakproductivity.online for license verification, checkout redirects, and anonymous product analytics events such as first open, checkout start, and paywall hit. These events help us understand whether the extension works and where users drop off. They are not store reports.

Chrome Web Store data categories

The extension handles website content because it reads visible storefront data in the active tab to create the report. That processing happens locally. Paid license checks may handle an account email, a license key, and an anonymous device ID for activation and plan status. Anonymous feature events may be sent without storefront content.

What we do not do

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive payment status, plan, email, and license metadata needed to unlock paid features. We do not store full card numbers.
