Privacy Policy

ThreadSorter ("the extension") is operated by Peak Productivity (Regios GmbH). This policy explains what data the extension stores, what it does not, and how to contact us about it.

1. What ThreadSorter stores on your device

The extension stores the following items in Chrome local storage, on your computer, never on a remote server:

• Tracked Gmail thread records (subject visible in your browser, participant names visible in your browser, the Gmail thread URL, your chosen follow-up date, status, and timestamps).
• Reusable reply snippets you create.
• Your settings (notification preferences, default reminder window, telemetry opt-out).
• A randomly generated install ID used to deduplicate license checks.
• Optional Pro license metadata (email you used at checkout, plan, expiration).

2. What ThreadSorter does not do

• It does not read the body content of any email.
• It does not send emails on your behalf.
• It does not inject tracking pixels, signatures, or footers into outgoing emails.
• It does not request the Gmail API or any Google OAuth scopes.
• It does not sell or share personal data with third parties.

3. What is sent off your device

Two outbound requests are possible:

• License check - when you upgrade to Pro, ThreadSorter calls peakproductivity.online/api/extension-license/threadsorter/check-license with your device ID and the email you used at checkout, so the Pro features unlock on your device. No thread data is sent.
• Anonymous telemetry - if you leave the telemetry switch on in Settings, ThreadSorter sends product events such as first_open, paywall_hit, and thread_done to peakproductivity.online/api/growth/event. The payload contains your device ID, extension version, locale, and the event name. No email content, no contact names, no thread subjects are transmitted. You can disable this at any time.

4. Payment and Pro subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Peak Productivity does not store your full card number. The checkout page is hosted at peakproductivity.online/threadsorter/upgrade/. Cancel any time from the upgrade page or via the Stripe customer portal.

5. Permissions and why

• storage: keep your tracked threads and snippets between Chrome restarts.
• alarms: check every 15 minutes whether a follow-up has come due.
• notifications: optional desktop notification when a reminder fires.
• host: https://mail.google.com/*: read the visible thread subject and participants. No other website is accessed.

6. Data export and deletion

Open ThreadSorter Settings Privacy and data. The "Export my data (JSON)" button gives you everything stored on your device as a downloadable JSON file. The "Reset all data" button erases every ThreadSorter record locally. Uninstalling the extension removes all local data automatically.

7. Children

ThreadSorter is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes to this policy

If we materially change what data is collected or how it is used, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the extension after a change indicates acceptance.
