UTM Builder help and FAQ
Build one tagged link, check the result, and copy it into the channel where it will be used. This guide covers the common questions without requiring an account.
Build your first link
- Open the destination page, then open UTM Builder from the Chrome toolbar or a page context menu.
- Check the destination URL and enter a source, medium, and campaign name. Use a template when the same pattern repeats.
- Review the color-coded result. Copy only after the required fields are valid.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. Manual link creation, five templates, validation, and recent history work locally without login.
What does the extension read?
After you open the popup or use a context menu command, it reads the current page address to prefill the destination. It does not read page text or change page content.
Where are my links and templates stored?
Templates, naming rules, and recent generated links stay in Chrome local storage on this device. The extension does not upload campaign values or generated URLs.
Why are existing query parameters still visible?
Normal query parameters are preserved. Existing UTM parameters are replaced with the values shown in the builder so duplicate tracking tags do not leak into reporting.
What is included in Pro?
Pro is for unlimited templates, naming governance, bulk CSV generation, link audits, and history export. Team sharing is not included until it is explicitly made available.
Why is checkout sometimes paused?
The hosted upgrade route accepts a verified device identifier from the extension and forwards the selected plan to the first-party service. If that identifier or the registered price configuration is missing, the page stays closed rather than starting an unverified charge.
