By installing or using YouTube Study Notes Pro (the "Extension"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install the Extension and uninstall any existing copy.
1. What the Extension does
The Extension reads the public caption track of the YouTube video you are watching and produces a study pack (outline, flashcards, quiz, saved moments) on your local machine. The Extension is provided as-is. Output is generated by deterministic heuristics from the caption text; we do not guarantee that the output is complete, accurate, or fit for any specific purpose.
2. License
The Extension is licensed, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for your own personal or business study workflows.
3. Free plan and Pro plan
The free plan gives you 3 study packs per week with copy-to-clipboard Markdown export. The Pro plan ($5/month or $29/year, paid via Stripe) lifts the weekly cap and enables PDF, Anki CSV, and Markdown file downloads, plus long-video mode and a saved library. Pricing may change for future subscribers; existing subscribers keep the price they signed up at until they cancel.
4. Refunds
If you cancel a monthly Pro subscription within 7 days of your first charge and have not used Pro-only features more than a handful of times, email support@peakproductivity.online and we will refund the charge. Annual subscriptions are refundable within 14 days of the first charge, pro-rated for any usage in excess of the free plan.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the Extension to scrape YouTube at scale or to circumvent YouTube's own rate limits.
- Resell, sublicense, or repackage the Extension or its output as your own product.
- Use study packs generated from copyrighted videos in ways that infringe the underlying creator's rights. The Extension produces a derivative work from the public caption track; downstream use is your responsibility.
- Reverse-engineer or modify the bundled extension to bypass the Pro license check.
6. YouTube and third-party content
The Extension is an independent third-party tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google, or any video creator. Caption tracks are property of the video uploader and / or the platform. You are responsible for honoring the underlying license of any content you study with the Extension.
7. Data and privacy
See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown. The short version: study packs are stored locally; we never upload them.
8. Termination
You may uninstall the Extension at any time. We may suspend access to the Pro plan (but not your locally stored packs) if you breach these terms or attempt to circumvent the license check. Termination of the license does not entitle you to a refund except as described in the Refunds section above.
9. Disclaimers
The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the output will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. Your use of the Extension is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Extension is limited to the amount you paid us for the Extension in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted to this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after the change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
