Terms of Service
Last updated: May 15, 2026
gavel Summary in one paragraph
Bug Report Recorder Pro is a Chrome extension built by Peak Productivity (a brand of Regios GmbH, Switzerland). It records browser sessions to produce bug reports. The Free plan is, well, free. The Pro plan is a subscription at $9 per month or $59 per year, billed by Stripe, cancellable anytime, with a 14-day full refund. Use it for sessions you have the right to record, do not capture data you do not own, and the service is provided as is with reasonable limits on liability.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By installing or using Bug Report Recorder Pro (the "Extension") or the supporting website at peakproductivity.online/bug-report-recorder-pro/ (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Peak Productivity, a brand of Regios GmbH, a Swiss company ("we", "us", "our"). If you are using the Extension on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of the service
Bug Report Recorder Pro is a Chrome extension that records a browser session and produces a bundled bug report consisting of video, screenshots, console output, network metadata, and user actions. Sensitive data masking runs by default before any export.
The service has two tiers:
- Free: up to 5 saved reports per month, local export only, all capture features, default masking rules. No account required.
- Pro: removes the monthly cap, adds hosted share links, network request bundles, Jira and Linear export, and custom masking profiles. Pro is offered as a recurring subscription only. There is no lifetime plan or one-time purchase.
3. Account and Pro license
The Free plan does not require an account. The Extension generates a random device ID on first launch that identifies your installation. The Pro plan requires payment via Stripe but does not require a separate username and password. After purchase, your installation is activated automatically the next time the Extension verifies your device ID against our license server.
You are responsible for keeping access to the Stripe email used at checkout. If you change devices, the Extension will re-verify Pro entitlement on the new device using your device ID. For team or shared-device use, contact us at support@peakproductivity.online.
4. Payment terms
4.1 Pricing and billing cycle
Pro is offered at two billing intervals: $9 USD per month or $59 USD per year. The yearly plan represents a discount of approximately 45% over the monthly plan. Local currency may be converted by Stripe at checkout. All prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes that Stripe or you are obliged to collect.
4.2 Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly) at the then-current rate. You will be charged on the same card used at checkout. Stripe will email you a receipt.
4.3 Cancellation
You can cancel anytime from the manage-subscription link in any Stripe receipt, or by emailing support@peakproductivity.online. After cancellation, your access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period, at which point your installation reverts to the Free tier. We do not pro-rate the unused portion of a paid period after cancellation, except where required by law.
4.4 Refunds
14-day refund window. If you are unhappy for any reason within 14 days of any charge (monthly or yearly, including renewals), email support@peakproductivity.online with your Stripe receipt ID and we will issue a full refund. Outside that 14-day window, refunds are at our discretion.
4.5 Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry the card according to its standard schedule. If retries fail, your installation reverts to the Free tier until you update payment details.
5. User responsibilities
The Extension is a tool. You are responsible for how you use it. By using it, you agree:
- Not to record any web session without the consent of every person whose voice, image, or personal data could be captured. In many jurisdictions this is a legal requirement. The Extension makes the recording state highly visible, but that does not relieve you of the duty to obtain consent.
- Not to capture data you have no right to collect. Including, but not limited to, third-party customer data, regulated health information, financial records, classified information, or content you do not own.
- Not to use the Extension to record sites where recording is forbidden by the site's terms of use (some banking, healthcare, education, and government sites prohibit screen recording).
- To configure the masking rules appropriate to your workflow. The default rules cover passwords, auth headers, credit-card-shaped numbers, and email addresses, but every workflow is different. Sensitive workflows are your responsibility to lock down.
- Not to attempt to circumvent the Free monthly cap, the license verification system, or any other quota mechanism.
- Not to share your Pro license across organizations or to resell access. Personal use across your own devices is fine.
- Not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Extension beyond what Chrome already exposes in the loaded extension directory.
- Not to use the Extension for any unlawful, deceptive, or rights-violating purpose, including stalking, harassment, doxxing, or surveillance without authorization.
6. Intellectual property
The Extension code, brand assets, icon, name, website, and content are owned by us and protected by Swiss and international copyright, trademark, and trade-secret law. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Extension for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works.
You retain all rights to the recordings and bug reports you produce. The Extension never claims ownership of your output.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE EXTENSION AND THE SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
We do not warrant that the Extension will capture every error, work on every site, or produce reports adequate for any specific legal, regulatory, or contractual purpose. If a recording is critical to a legal or compliance workflow, validate the output independently.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by Swiss law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from the Extension or the Site, regardless of the legal theory, is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the above limits apply only to the maximum extent the law allows, and nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim, damage, expense, or liability (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Extension, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or any right of any third party (including, importantly, the privacy or consent rights of anyone whose data you capture).
10. Termination
You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to Pro features at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, abused the service, or initiated a chargeback. On termination, sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, and 13 survive.
11. Changes to the service
We may add, remove, or change Extension features and the boundary between Free and Pro at any time. We will not retroactively remove an entire paid feature without offering a refund or a prorated credit. Cosmetic changes, UI iterations, and the addition of new Pro-only features are part of normal product evolution.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service materially changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. For material changes that affect your rights (pricing, refund policy, liability), we will post a notice in the Extension popup at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the substantive law of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the courts of Zürich, Switzerland, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to litigate in your country of residence.
14. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to a successor company. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Extension and supersede any prior agreements.
