EXIF Viewer Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing or using EXIF Viewer ("the extension"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension. These terms apply to both the free version and the Pro subscription.

2. License to use

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use EXIF Viewer for personal and commercial purposes, subject to these terms. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the extension or its source code.

3. Free plan and Pro subscription

The core features of EXIF Viewer (viewing full EXIF metadata and the GPS map) are free and remain free. Pro features (removing EXIF data, batch processing, export, and photo comparison) require a paid subscription.

Pricing$3 per month or $19 per year, billed via Stripe.

BillingYour subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

CancellationYou may cancel at any time from your Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges immediately. Pro access continues until the end of the current paid period.

RefundsWe do not issue refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month or mid-year, you keep access until the period ends but no partial refund is issued. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review it promptly.

4. Acceptable use

You may use EXIF Viewer for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

Use the extension to process images you do not have the right to inspect or modify.
Attempt to circumvent the Pro license check or share license credentials with others.
Use the extension in any way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.

5. No warranty ("as is")

EXIF Viewer is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Metadata parsing depends on what is embedded in each file. Some images carry incomplete or no EXIF data; this is expected behaviour.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peak Productivity and its authors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of EXIF Viewer, including but not limited to data loss, privacy incidents caused by sharing photos with metadata you did not notice, or interruptions to the service. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Third-party services

The Pro subscription is processed by Stripe, Inc. and is subject to Stripe's terms. If you enable the GPS map, your browser loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap under the ODbL licence. We are not responsible for the availability or terms of these third-party services.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If a change materially affects your rights as a Pro subscriber, we will note it in the extension's update changelog.
