Important: permission risk awareness tool, not an antivirus

Extension Trust Scanner is a permission risk awareness tool that scores the permissions and install source declared by your installed extensions. It is not an antivirus, not a malware scanner, and not a security guarantee. It does not and cannot scan extension code for actual behavior. Chrome does not allow one extension to read another extension's code. A high risk score means powerful declared permissions, not proven wrongdoing. A low score is not a safety certification. Use it as a starting point for your own review.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Extension Trust Scanner ("the extension"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension. These terms apply to both the free version and the Pro subscription.

2. License to use

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Extension Trust Scanner for reviewing your own extension footprint, subject to these terms. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the extension or its source code.

3. Free plan and Pro subscription

The full scan, per-extension risk scores, plain-English capability list, high/medium/low summary, non-Web-Store flag, and one-click disable features are free and remain free. Pro features (deeper per-permission breakdown, change detection between scans, and exportable reports) require a paid subscription.

Pricing$3 per month or $19 per year, billed via Stripe.
BillingYour subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
CancellationYou may cancel at any time from your Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges immediately. Pro access continues until the end of the current paid period.
RefundsWe do not issue refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month or mid-year, you keep access until the period ends but no partial refund is issued. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review it promptly.

4. Awareness tool, not a security guarantee

Extension Trust Scanner scores the permissions and install source that each extension declared. A clean or low-score result does not mean an extension is safe or trustworthy, and a high-score result does not mean an extension is malicious. We do not guarantee that use of this tool will prevent any harm, data loss, privacy incident, or security issue.

You remain solely responsible for the extensions you choose to install and keep in your browser.

You may use Extension Trust Scanner for any lawful purpose related to reviewing your own Chrome browser's extension footprint. You agree not to:

6. No warranty ("as is")

Extension Trust Scanner is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Chrome's extension management API and the permissions extensions declare can change at any time, and scan results may not always reflect the current state of every extension.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peak Productivity and its authors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or reliance on Extension Trust Scanner, including but not limited to privacy incidents, data loss, browser disruption, or decisions made based on scan results. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Third-party services

The Pro subscription is processed by Stripe, Inc. and is subject to Stripe's terms. We are not responsible for the availability or terms of Stripe's services.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If a change materially affects your rights as a Pro subscriber, we will note it in the extension's update changelog.
