Help, examples, and honest limits.

Start with the native text path. If your result needs correction, the preview lets you fix it before any file is exported.

Quick start

  1. Open the extractor and drop a native PDF into the queue.
  2. Use the page field if you only need selected pages.
  3. Choose Detect tables, wait for each page outcome, and inspect the preview.
  4. Correct cells or table shape if needed, then choose CSV. Pro adds XLSX.

What counts as a native PDF?

A native PDF contains selectable text. If you can select a word with your PDF reader, the local detector can try to group its positions into table-shaped rows. A visual table may still have unusual spacing, merged cells, or wrapped text that needs review.

Scanned pages are not uploaded. The extension reports an image-only page. OCR is not included in this release. Use another local OCR tool if you need text from a scan.

Why did a column shift?

PDFs store words and drawing positions, not a universal spreadsheet grid. A wrapped label, merged cell, rotated page, or wide gap can change the detector's grouping. The confidence label is a review cue, not a promise of accuracy. Correct the cells in the preview and use the exported file only after checking it.

Free and Pro

The free plan is designed to prove the workflow with one native PDF and up to three pages per day. CSV export stays free. Pro is intended for recurring work and adds larger batches and XLSX workbooks. OCR is not included in this release. The exact plan and cancellation terms are shown on the upgrade page.

Troubleshooting

  • The file is rejected: confirm the name ends in .pdf and that the PDF opens locally.
  • No table is found: check that the page has selectable text and that rows contain at least two aligned cells.
  • The preview looks wrong: edit the cells, remove an extra column, or use a narrower page range.
  • Export is unavailable: CSV is the free export. XLSX and larger jobs require an active Pro license.
  • OCR is needed: OCR is not included in this release. Image-only pages are identified; use another local OCR tool if needed.
