Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 30, 2026. Applies to peakproductivity.online and to every Chrome extension we publish under the Peak Productivity name.

Local-first by default. The things you create, paste, edit, annotate, cite, or capture with our extensions stay on your device. We collect anonymous product analytics so we can count installs and improve features. We never sell your data and we never read your content.

1. Who we are

Peak Productivity is a portfolio of Chrome extensions and the website at peakproductivity.online operated by an independent developer team. Support email: support@peakproductivity.online.

2. What stays on your device

For every extension we publish, the following data lives only in your browser using Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) or your browser's IndexedDB. It is never uploaded to our servers and never leaves your device unless you choose to export it:

If you uninstall the extension, this data is removed by Chrome along with the extension.

3. What we collect (anonymous product analytics)

To understand how our extensions are used and to fix problems, our extensions send a small set of anonymous events to our server. Each event contains:

What we never include in these events: the URL of the page you are on, the content you process, your name, or your email address.

4. License verification (paid users)

If you upgrade to a Peak Productivity Pro Bundle subscription or to a paid plan for an individual extension, we verify your license through our license server (shared-pro-api) every 24 hours. The check uses:

If you signed up with an email address, that email is stored in our license database along with your plan tier. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

5. Email opt-ins

If you submit your email address through any of our welcome pages or lead magnet forms (for example, the Peak Productivity Power Pack PDF), we add you to a SendSimple email list. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click in any email we send. The list provider is SendSimple (sendsimple.site), hosted in the European Union.

6. Per-extension specifics

Some extensions need to process certain data to do their job. In every case the processing happens on your device, in your browser, without server upload.

Extension categoryWhat happens locally
PDF tools (PDF Merge and Split, PDFavo, PDF Annotator)PDF files are read, modified, and saved entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded.
Image converters (HEIC to JPG, WebP to JPG, Bulk Image Downloader, EXIF Viewer)Image processing runs in your browser via canvas APIs. Source images are never uploaded.
Video and audio (Screen Recorder Pro, Video Screenshot Online, Read Aloud Pro, Bug Report Recorder Pro)Recordings, captured frames, and text-to-speech output stay in your browser and downloads folder. Read Aloud Pro uses the Web Speech API and may send the text to your browser's configured speech engine.
YouTube tools (YouTube Looper Pro, YT Subtitle Downloader, YT Study Notes Pro, Transcript and Summary for YouTube)We read the public video metadata your browser already has access to. We never log which videos you watch.
Email and meetings (MailPing, Smart Templates for Gmail, MeetMint)Email tracking uses an invisible tracking pixel in messages you send (a standard email-marketing technique). Meeting transcripts are processed locally; we do not store the audio.
SEO and AI visibility (SEO Audit Pilot, AI Visibility Checker, Meta Tag Audit, Keyword Density Checker, Bulk Domain Checker, SERP Snapshot)We query Google and other public services using your already-logged-in browser session. We never proxy through our servers. Captured SERP snapshots and audit reports stay in your browser.
Citation tools (APA Citation Generator, Multi-Style Citation Generator)Citations are generated locally. We may query the public CrossRef and OpenLibrary APIs to resolve DOIs and ISBNs; those queries include the identifier you entered but no information about you.
Developer tools (JWT Vault, JSON Formatter Pro, Regex Tester Pro, CSV Preview and Quick Edit, Auto Refresh Ultra, Clear Cache for Specific Site, Extension Trust Scanner, Sheets Formula Explainer)All input and processing happens locally. JWT Vault and JSON Formatter Pro explicitly do not send the tokens or JSON you paste to any server.
Browser quality of life (Dark Mode for Chrome, Tab Session Manager, Clipboard History Manager, Password Generator Pro, Bookmark Manager Pro, ThreadSorter, Aurovia, Pomodoro Technique Timer, QR Code Generator and Scanner, Unit Converter Pro, Color Picker and Palette)State is stored locally only. Password Generator Pro never transmits generated passwords. Clipboard History Manager never uploads clipboard content.
E-commerce research (Shopify Store Inspector, TikTok Shop Product Scout)Inspection happens against public store pages your browser is viewing. Reports stay in your browser.
Other (Translate to Many Languages, Grammar Checker Lite, AI Rewrite, AI Prompt Library Manager, PromptVault, Auto Apply Pro, MailPing, Mailping, NicheCheck, CWS Submission Copilot)See the individual extension's listing page on the Chrome Web Store for the specific data handling notes.
