Privacy Policy - PromptDeck AI Prompt Manager

Short version: Your prompt content stays in your browser. PromptDeck sends only basic extension usage events and license checks to our server. We do not sell your data. We do not read your prompts. We do not run ads.

1. Who we are

PromptDeck is a Chrome extension published by Peak Productivity. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@peakproductivity.online.

2. What data we collect and where it lives

Prompt library storage

Your prompt library data is stored locally in your browser using the Chrome storage.local API. This includes:

Your saved prompts and their text content
Tags and folder names you create
Extension settings and preferences

This prompt content is not transmitted to any server. It lives on your device. If you uninstall the extension, your local prompt library is removed along with it.

License checks and usage telemetry

PromptDeck sends the following limited data to our server at peakproductivity.online:

A random device identifier: A locally generated, non-personally-identifiable ID used for license checks and aggregate funnel metrics. It is not linked to your name, email address, or browser profile.
Your license status: Whether your license is active, to gate access to Pro features.
Basic extension usage events: Events such as first open, prompt saved, prompt inserted, library opened, paywall hit, and checkout start. These events do not include prompt text, page text, full URLs, or chat content.

The server never reads, processes, or interprets the content of your prompts. Encrypted cloud sync is on the roadmap, but it is not part of the current release.

3. Extension permissions explained

PromptDeck requests the following permissions in Chrome. Here is what each permission does and why it is required:

Permission	Why we need it
`storage`	Save your prompt library, folder structure, tags, settings, and license status locally in Chrome's storage on your device.
`activeTab`	Detect which AI site is currently open so the extension knows which site-specific insert behavior to use when you press the shortcut or click the button.
`scripting`	Inject the floating insert button and the Ctrl+Shift+K command palette into the AI chat page. Without this permission the in-page prompt selector cannot appear.
Host: `chatgpt.com`, `chat.openai.com`	Add the floating prompt-insert button to ChatGPT and place your selected prompt into the ChatGPT chat input field.
Host: `claude.ai`	Add the floating prompt-insert button to Claude and insert your selected prompt into the Claude chat input field.
Host: `gemini.google.com`	Add the floating prompt-insert button to Gemini and insert your selected prompt into the Gemini chat input field.
Host: `perplexity.ai`	Add the floating prompt-insert button to Perplexity and insert your selected prompt into the Perplexity search/chat input.
Host: `grok.com`	Add the floating prompt-insert button to Grok and insert your selected prompt into the Grok chat input field.
Host: `peakproductivity.online`	Verify your Pro license and send basic extension usage events without prompt text or chat content.

4. Data we do NOT collect

We do not read, log, or transmit the content of your prompts.
We do not collect your name, email address, or browser profile.
We do not track full browsing history or what you type in AI chats.
We do not run ads or use your data for advertising purposes.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
We do not use analytics SDKs or third-party trackers inside the extension.

5. Payments

Pro and Team subscriptions are processed through Stripe. When you click a checkout link, you are directed to Stripe's hosted payment page. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment flow: stripe.com/privacy.

After a successful payment, Stripe sends us a webhook confirming the license. We store only the license status (active/inactive) associated with your random device ID. No name or email is stored by us unless you contact our support.

6. Data retention

Local data (free plan): Stored on your device until you uninstall the extension or clear Chrome's storage. We never receive or hold this data.
License status: Retained for as long as the license is active and for a reasonable period after cancellation to handle re-activation requests.
Usage events: Retained in aggregate form to understand onboarding, activation, and checkout performance.

7. Your rights

You may request deletion of any server-side data associated with your license by emailing support@peakproductivity.online. For free-plan data, uninstalling the extension removes all local data automatically.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and provide notice within the extension where practical. Continued use of PromptDeck after changes means you accept the updated policy.
