Terms of Service

Last updated: May 18, 2026

By installing or using the Chrome extension Transcript & Summary for YouTube ("the Extension") made by Peak Productivity ("we", "us"), you agree to the terms below.

1. Acceptance

If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Extension. Continued use after a change to these terms means you accept the updated terms.

2. License grant

The Extension is provided free of charge. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Extension on devices you own or control.

Pro Pass is a separate optional subscription. When you subscribe through Stripe, you receive a license to use the Pro features described on the upgrade page for the duration of the subscription. Pro Pass also unlocks Pro features in the other Peak Productivity extensions, listed at peakproductivity.online/pricing.

3. Account and license

The Extension does not require an account. Your anonymous device ID is used to verify Pro licenses. If you change devices, you can transfer your license by contacting support@peakproductivity.online.

4. Subscription, billing, refunds

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. YouTube content

The Extension reads YouTube's publicly available caption tracks for the video you are watching. We do not store, redistribute, or claim ownership of YouTube content. You are responsible for complying with YouTube's terms of service when you use it.

7. Service availability

The Extension and its server features are provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep AI summarization and Q&A available, but we do not guarantee uptime. Free tier rate limits may change with reasonable notice.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Extension is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI output is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or fit for any specific purpose. Always verify before relying on a summary for important decisions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Peak Productivity is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension. Our total liability for direct damages is capped at the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Extension at any time by removing it from Chrome. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with notice when reasonable.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the user's country of residence, except where local consumer protection law gives you stronger rights, in which case those rights apply.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, post a notice in the Extension or send an email if you have one on file.

13. Contact
