Do my prompts ever leave my browser?

No. Your prompts are stored in chrome.storage.local on your computer. The extension never uploads, syncs, or analyzes their contents. The only network call it makes is an anonymous install ping (a random device ID and an install date) plus, for Pro users, a license-key check. Neither sends prompt content.

Why does the extension need permissions?

Five minimal permissions. storage for your library. contextMenus for the right-click "Save as Prompt". commands for the keyboard shortcut. sidePanel for the side-panel UI. clipboardWrite for the Copy button. Optional host permissions for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity are requested only when you turn on insert for that site. There is no <all_urls>, no broad page access.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free covers 25 prompts forever, full search, folders, tags, favorites, variables, copy, import/export, and theme. Pro removes the 25-prompt cap, adds one-click insert into ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini/Perplexity, shows word/char/token counts in the editor, and includes priority email support.

How does one-click insert work?

When you grant permission for a specific AI site (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity), the extension can drop a prompt into the active message box on that site. If insert can't reach the input field for any reason, the prompt falls back to your clipboard with a clear toast — copy still always works.

Can I move my library between computers?

Yes. Open the Options page, click Export JSON, and you get a single backup file with every prompt, folder, and setting. On the other browser, click Import JSON and choose Merge or Replace.

Can I get a refund?

Is the extension open source?

The extension is closed source today, but the bundle is unobfuscated, Manifest V3 compliant, and contains zero remote code. Every script that runs ships inside the package and is reviewable from chrome://extensions.
